Documented Observations

 

 

July-Aug. 1905, Considered common near Cobalt by Mr. J. Wilbur Kay and Frederick C. Hubel, as reported in The Auk, Volume 24, No. 1, January-March 1907. It was considered the most common woodpecker in the area at the time.

December 30, 2006. One observed and photographed by Michael Werner in Henwood Township.

October 14, 2007. One observed by Sue Gamble at Kenogami Lake.
