    3 boreals last night

Last night under less than perfect conditions I managed to capture 3 boreals owls 1 was already banded  I haven't checked when we caught it but i suspect it was a week ago.  Shame not to have been banding all along but with the waxing gibbous moon and having used up all my exit priviliges it was not possible. Our potentail for boreal researech has certainly been established. Having said that i sure would like to try and band at site b a couple times a month just to see how long they can be attracted to the tape. Attempts at home have resulted in nothing.  Have to admit I have developed a soft spot for Boreals despite their talons. Hope we don't have to wait another 4 years to see them again.

They did the following in Tadoussac (Boreal):

    2004     213

    2005     38

    2006     3

    2007     18

    2008     178

    2009     close to 2005?

    2010     close to 2006?

    2011     close to 2007?

    2012     close to 2008 and 2004?

Bruce, did you know that Tadoussac caught one of your NSWO back in 2005?
