I was doing a delivery at the mall in Kirkland Lake on Thursday afternoon, and I spotted two sandhill cranes. They flew over the mall they were coming from the north, heading south, probably heading for the pond behind the Tim Hortons. In another unrelated story, there are two sandhill cranes nesting on my father inlaws property just north of Sturgeon Falls. It's pretty cool, i went for a walk in the bush, and was able to get VERY close to them, and got some nice pictures.
