    Phalarope

    I'm back from the Ville-Marie lagoons where I could see a Red-necked Phalarope swimming and feeding on the center cell.  I posted in 'rare sighting' because it is not common for me.  Bye

    Very nice find, Jonathan!  I'm going to have to get back out to the marsh soon and see what other rarities might be coming through, especially in the shorebird department.

    Three Red Necked Phalaropes at the Englehart lagoons yesterday evening.  They stayed in a fairly tight little group on the far side of the cell, so was not able to get any decent photos.  Here's about the best I could manage.  This is a lifer species for me.

    While kayaking today on Moose Creek in Casey Twp., saw another phalarope!

    At Guigues's lagoons before noon today, 2 red-necked phalarope.

    Yesterday, about 125 cranes in a field 1 km south of Fabre.

    At Opemican site (15 min north of Temiscaming city)  a singing Peewee and a Peregrine falcon, probably more than one,
