Timiskaming Birds Forum

This is sthe owl that has been seen intermittently for a couple of months on highway 66 about 4km west of highway 11. ID now confirmed as a Hawk Owl. Very tame and co-operative. Not the best light but I will try again in the next few days. He seems to be there almost every day morning and evening according to commuters.

Looks a like this fellow is a bit of a "stuffed shirt" looking down on you like that with that haughty expression on his face.  (OK, so maybe I tend to anthropomorphize too much...)
