yesterday reed and I banded our first common redpoll of the season we also banded about 20 american goldfinch and 20 pine siskins as well as 2 pine grosbeaks 1 downy woodpecker and 1 hairy woodpecker. I ws very excited to see the redpoll and hopefully more will follow. Stay tuned for any information about banding at the marsh but so far we only have chickadees at the marsh so once birds find the feesders we will be hosting banding days on the weekends. happy birding
