    long tailed-duck

About 100 of them have spent the afternoon on the lake...I was mesmerized by their antics...all of them dive..all of them come up as a unit...( not all the time but 85% of the time) Of course they are far out and I had the spotting scope on them.

Also watched a white breasted nuthatch at the feeder today..really nice to see.

You beat me to it! Yesterday On Lake Animanip i saw a pair of oldsquaw at the south half of the lake out in the middle and an unidentified black buteo i do believe, plus by ear Black Throated Green Warblers, possibly a black throated blue, and several warblers , and the usual red eyed vireos, yellow bellied sapsucker, and an unidentified call, kind of a squawk. No fish, but the Long Tailed were pretty cool
