What tree swallows? Not many in the KL area this year - numbers seem to be in decline locally. I spoke to a friend from larder Lake yesterday who reported her pair of tree swallows using their birdhouse had also flown the coop. She also had about 60 cliff swallows perched on a wire in the yard by the lakeshore last week. They hung around for a day feeding over the lake and they too fled the coop.
