yesterday aug 27th, I could see a Purple martin flying close to lac à zöel (Lorrainville). It's a first for me in Témiscamingue.
NICE! Wonder if its passing through on migration from places further north, or if Lorrainville is as far north as it got.
I guess it would be a post breeding (or non-breeding) dispersion. In the Ontario breeding bird atlas, the closer breeding evidence were found south of North Bay (looking over a 5 years period).
