I took a walk there after diner. A thousand gulls were present. I was pleased to find a pair of adult Bald eagles eating leftovers on the ice. After they took flight to rest in Ontario spruces, we saw 2 immatures bald eagles playing in the wind above the lake. They finally disapeared and both adult came back displaying and landed on the ice. One of them started to whistle. It's the first time ever I could hear bald eagle's "song". It was high pitched short notes.
Also present about 50 Common mergansers and 20 Common goldeneyes, 3 black ducks and one mallard (all in the water or on the ice).
On my way back I saw a Great blue heron flying close to Ville-Marie.
