    Glaucous Gull Haileybury Waterfront?

Can I make a Glaucous Gull out of this one?

Also today, a couple of Rough-legged Hawks - 1 S of Earlton near potato farm, 1 near Belle Vallee.

Looks like an immature Glaucous Gull to me!  And this certainly is the time of year when they'd be around. Looks like you had lots of telephoto power on these shots.

Thanks, Mike. It's my first Glaucous. Re telephoto power - I'm still using the same camera & lens. That second shot is likely well into the digital Zoom. Used a new monopod with that one. My dreams often take me to a Canon 7D and a 100 - 400 Zoom, but, then, reality kicks in, and I realize that a lottery win would be needed to entice me to jump there at this time.

I know the feeling. "Lens Lust" is a disease that afflicts many amateur photographers, and bird photographers seem particularly susceptible.
