    Sandhill crane Hilliardton mARSH

    yESTERDAT WHILE AT THE MARSH WARREN verina heard and later spotted the first sandhill of the season and after a morning of banding the terra students  to a trek to casy marsh which was frozen while checking the fields for duscks which we found none Shelby hearn spotted a red tailed hawk and we also saw a male harrier. This morning while banding at gillies we were excited to catch 4 evening grobeaks lots of tree sparrows and junco are arond and we caught our firs purple finch of the season a female. happy easter birding looking forward to new arrivals

    Tree Swallows, Wood Ducks, Ring-necked Ducks Bryce Twp

     Out for a drive today we saw the above noted birds. Also, at Hilliardton Marsh & Evanturel Twp, I saw my first Sandhill Cranes, and a Merlin (Marsh only).
