This little fuzzball was captured (most excellently) by Bill Stormont near Eby pothole earlier today. There were 2 of them - one larger than the other. Photos of the second one are not as clear but I would guess a larger brother/sister to this one. Neither have proper horns yet but some of the photos show fluffy bumps where the horns should be. This is the same area where the Hawk Owls were hanging around last winter and where Reg Brand reported a Great Gray owl in early June of this year. Three owl species within a 3 km radius - does that make this an owl hotspot??
