pine grosbeaks and redpolls banded during world wetland day

Greetings folks an update on the banding last weekend at the marsh. We celebrated world wetalnd day by banding 18 pine grosbeaks and about 30 common redpolls and 3 hoary redpolls the day was enjoyed bhy about 20 people who enjoyed the near zero temperatures. it was a lot of fun banding the redpolls afetr there complete abscence last winter. look for updates on the next time we will be banding which is going to be this sunday Feb 13th. Hoping for more pine grosbeaks. of interest we captured two pine grosbeaks which we banded three years ago.
